It was refreshing to see several new members along with several new directions being explored in the recent entries. In the past decade the Art Association's exhibitions have been dominated by landscape. With so many diverse pieces reflecting on the figure, abstraction, the use of photography, collage, etc, it is clear the perspectives of the members of the Art Association have expanded. There have been more "doors opening up" which helps to make this exhibition an exciting event.

Although it was tough to decide what was to be excluded, it was easy to see which pieces stood out Individuality was the key to this show, rather than any particular one category. The particular pieces in the categories mentioned were awarded because they were good examples of what makes art interesting and enjoyable, sometimes mysterious, and always individual.

I would like to extend my thanks to the Art Association for inviting me to review the work to be included in this exhibition.
